MapuaWorld was initiated by the International Association of Mapua Alumni of Ontario (IAMAO) headed by Josie Cuisia on August 2000. The objective of Mapuaworld is to promote unity and camaraderie among Mapuans around the world in the year 2000 and beyond. Mapuaworld will provide a venue for exchange of information between Alumni organization globally to enable the organizations to establish and maintain a healthy relationship among each other.

The second Mapuaworld was hosted by Southern California Mapua Alumni (SCMA) Association on February 8, 9 and 10, 2002.

To promote fellowship among Mapuans worldwide and to continue with the tradition, Mapuaworld 2004 will be hosted by NAMABC in Vancouver. The year 2004 will be the 10th anniversary of NAMABC and to host Mapuaworld on 2004 will be a welcomed and timely celebration.
