Bowling November 2002
After another successful bowling tournament last September 7, 2002, the
executive committee would like to invite all members again to our next
Bowling tournament.
The
bowling tournament will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2002 at the
Xcalibur Bowling Center at 12350 Patullo Place, Surrey, BC, Tel #
604-580-2600. The game will start at 1:00 pm (please be on time) and
after the game (around 4- 4:30pm), we will have food and drinks at the
second floor lounge. There will also be Karaoke in the lounge for our
enjoyment - practice your songs now. The tournament is open to members
and their spouse. We have made an initial reservation for 20 people to
bowl for now. It is important to know the exact numbers of who will
attend so that we can confirm the total number of players to the bowling
center. Please confirm your attendance by replying to this email no later
than Friday, November 22, 2002. The karaoke lounge can accommodate up to
40 people.
The
cost is $25 per person which includes bowling fees for 3 games and shoes,
trophies and food. For non-bowlers who want to join us for Karaoke, the
food cost is $10 per person.
The
food will include a burger platter with pop. There is a choice of beef,
chicken or veggie burger. Any alcoholic drink will be paid for separately
by the member (individual payments).

Christmas 2002
This
is to invite all members, active or in-active, to attend our NAMABC
Annual Christmas Party, Annual General Meeting and Elections of Officers
for year 2003 – 2004 on Saturday, December 7, 2002. It will be held at
Eastburne Community Center at 7435 Edmonds St. Burnaby, B.C. from 6:30
p.m. – 1:00 a.m. Please invite other MAPUA alumni’s whom you know that
have not joined us, as well as your closest friends. This year has been
another successful year in terms of the social activities that NAMABC
sponsored such as our spring dance, annual picnic and bowling
tournaments. There will also be announcements regarding NAMABC’s hosting
of Mapuaworld 2004.
Since
we plan to host Mapuaworld 2004, we regret to inform the members that
NAMABC will not be subsidizing half of the ticket cost this year and next
year, to help us build our funding for the 2004 grand reunion. In
addition, the executive committee has approved a recommendation, for
members to invite their close friends to attend our Christmas party, as a
small fundraising activity to support Mapuaworld 2004. The ticket cost
will be $20.00 per person. Tickets will be issued at the door.

NAMABC Election Bulletin 2002
At
the last executive meeting, held on October 25th, 2002, a committee
(COMELEC) was formed to oversee the upcoming 2003-2004 Election of NAMABC
officers.
The
election will be held at Eastburn Community Center on December 7th, 2002.
(Note: Held during the first hour of our Christmas Party). Everybody’s
participation is greatly appreciated!
