NAMA general membership held its election of officers for the year 1996-1998 last Mar. 14. Seventy-five out of one hundred sixteen members were present and participated in the election.
The new executive officers are: Digno Vibat - President, Dexter Tarampi - Internal VP, Pete de Guzman - External VP, Anne Roque - Secretary, Greg Narciso - Treasurer, Ramon Santos - P.R.O.
There was only one nomination each for president, secretary, treasurer and PRO so those respective nominees for these positions were declared outright winners. On the other hand, the internal and external vice-president positions were closely contested.
Re-elected for their second term in office are Digno Vibat and Greg Narciso as president and treasurer, respectively. Our congratulations to the newly elected executive officers!
Expected to be top in the agenda during the first executive meeting of the new executive committee is the appointment of chairpersons of various sub-committees formed to generate greater participation among NAMA’s growing membership. The induction of the new set of officers will be held on spring dance party scheduled on May 4, 1996.
